Shinto

Shinto is the original religion of Japan made up of Local and Cosmic Kami, the greatest being the Sun Goddess Amaterasu, first ancestor of the Imperial Family.  Some Kami were people of importance or natural areas of great wonder and each Kami is responsible for natural occurances in their area.
